Bald Eagle softball holds on to beat Clearfield, 4-2

BALD EAGLE -- The Bald Eagle softball team hosted Clearfield on Thursday and used an early lead to beat the Bison, 4-2. The Eagles led 2-0 in the fourth inning and then added an insurance RBI from Zoey Surovec in the fifth inning, eventually extending the lead to 4-1. Clearfield started a comeback with an RBI double from Brook Cline, but Surovec was able to close out the win on the mound for Bald Eagle.

New trial for convicted priest?

JOHNSTOWN, Pa -- A federal judge is deciding whether a former Central City priest convicted of having sexual relations with children during missionary trips should be granted a new trial. Father Joseph Maurizio was found guilty on five of eight counts of abuse, a count of international money laundering, a count of possessing a photo that exploited a child and three counts of illicting sexual conduct with three separate victims.

Walgreens joins big-box price cuts with over 1,300 items discounted this summer

Walgreens announced Wednesday it would be slashing prices on over 1,300 products as part of their "Summer of Savings." The company joined several big-box retailers taking the same initiative to try and boost sales amid increasing inflation.
