CONTINUED COVERAGE: Protests at college campuses intensify with hundreds of arrests across the US Anti-Israel protests have grown and intensified at colleges across the U.S. since the Israel-Hamas war started in October. Students are calling on their schools to separate from companies that have ties to the Israeli government or advancing Israel’s military efforts in Gaza. Students have mostly led the charge, but alums and activists have joined them in some states, with hundreds of people getting arrested or detained throughout the nation.

BALD EAGLE -- The Bald Eagle softball team hosted Clearfield on Thursday and used an early lead to beat the Bison, 4-2. The Eagles led 2-0 in the fourth inning and then added an insurance RBI from Zoey Surovec in the fifth inning, eventually extending the lead to 4-1. Clearfield started a comeback with an RBI double from Brook Cline, but Surovec was able to close out the win on the mound for Bald Eagle.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — The Big Ten Conference banned Jim Harbaugh from coaching at Michigan's three remaining regular-season games on Friday, defying a warning from the second-ranked Wolverines in an extraordinary confrontation over an alleged sign-stealing scheme that has rocked college football. Harbaugh was disciplined by the conference less than 24 hours before the Wolverines play at No. 9 Penn State in their toughest matchup of the season so far.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa -- A federal judge is deciding whether a former Central City priest convicted of having sexual relations with children during missionary trips should be granted a new trial. Father Joseph Maurizio was found guilty on five of eight counts of abuse, a count of international money laundering, a count of possessing a photo that exploited a child and three counts of illicting sexual conduct with three separate victims.

Walgreens announced Wednesday it would be slashing prices on over 1,300 products as part of their "Summer of Savings." The company joined several big-box retailers taking the same initiative to try and boost sales amid increasing inflation.
