Vandalism at Laurel Hill State Park

The historical Laurel Hill State Park which features some of the last standing architecture from the civilian conservation corps has been vandalized. The state parks maintenance team discovered the vandalism in August and State Police began an investigation immediately. The buildings destroyed had immense historical and cultural value. The destroyed architecture is irreplaceable since much of it was built in the 1930’s and building materials are no longer being produced.

SEATTLE (WKRC) - A mother was arrested after allegedly shaking her two-year-old child "like a ragdoll" on a Delta Air Lines flight. According to USA Today, a Sacramento woman was ordered to be detained last Wednesday after she was allegedly seen abusing her 2-year-old on Delta Flight 1922 from Mexico to Seattle. The United States Attorney's Office, Western District of Washington reported that 33-year-old Breanna R. Mistler was taken into custody at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport after multiple witnesses from the flight reported seeing her abuse a child.

PA Turnpike makes final large payment to state, plans to ease toll increases

Middletown, Dauphin County — Today marked a crucial step for the Pennsylvania Turnpike that could potentially save drivers some cash in the long run. For the last time, the turnpike paid out a $450 million payment to the state. “Our customers have done their part and have paid more than their fair share,” said Pennsylvania Turnpike CEO Mark Compton.
