Conemaugh Health System names next CEO

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - Conemaugh Health System has named its next CEO. William Caldwell will be taking over the reigns after Steve Tucker announced his retirement in June after 33 years. His retirement goes into effect Sept. 7. “Bill is an experienced health care executive known for his passion for quality care, strong operational skills, and unwavering commitment to employees, physicians and patients," said Victor Giovanetti, LifePoint Health Eastern Group president. Caldwell has been CEO of Wilson Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint health care facility, in North Carolina since 2014.

Fourth person arrested in connection to viral Alabama riverfront brawl

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WBMA) — A woman is now in custody and charged with third-degree assault in connection to a brawl that broke out last weekend on a riverfront dock in Montgomery. There are now four people charged in the incident, including three men who turned themselves in earlier this week. Mary Todd, 21, turned herself in Thursday. She is currently being held in city jail. Richard Roberts, 48, Zachery Shipman, 25, and Allen Todd, 23 are also facing third-degree assault charges.

Outrage over Grand Prix disruption spurs petition seeking to halt Las Vegas race

PSU trustees expected to make 'big decision' on next phase of Beaver Stadium project

University Park, PA (WJAC) — A "big decision" is expected this week on the future of Penn State's Beaver Stadium. The university's trustees are slated to vote on a renovation plan that's expected to cost hundreds of millions of dollars, and there are already questions about where Penn State is going to come up with that kind of money. Beaver Stadium’s current construction zone is work that is being funded by a $70 million allocation approved by the Penn State trustees last year.
