Altoona police say a fourth teen has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy.

Police say 15-year-old Devon Pfirsching was shot to death in February near Jefferson Park after a group of teens staged a robbery.

According to a criminal complaint, 16-year-old Omedro Davis was arrested Sunday on charges of second degree murder and more after police allege he bought the gun that was used to kill Pfirsching. His arrest comes nearly two months after three other teens were arrested in connection to Pfirsching's shooting death.

Court documents show 15-year-old Owen Southerland, 15-year-old Damien Green and 16-year-old Logan Persing planned to rob Pfirsching the night of Feb. 25. According to the teens' criminal complaints, the trio set up a drug sale via Snapchat to lure Pfirsching to an area along 4th Avenue Alley.

In March, police say a confidential informant gave them new information regarding the shooting. According to a criminal complaint, the gun that was used to kill Pfirsching was given to the informant by someone who stole it from an apartment complex.

The informant told police he never heard from the person who gave him the gun and decided to sell it. According to the complaint, the informant sold the gun to Davis for $110 and 3 grams of marijuana two days before the shooting.

Police say Davis bought the gun with the intention of giving it to the teens involved in Pfirsching's murder, knowing that they planned to rob him.

The night of the shooting, police say Pfirsching and three of his friends were waiting for the teens so Pfirsching could sell them marijuana. The witnesses told police Pfirsching got out of the car and several minutes later, they heard a loud bang. The complaint says the group got out of the car and found Pfirsching laying on the ground and saw a person running from the scene.

Police say another 15-year-old spoke with officers about one of the suspects admitting to shooting and killing Pfirsching. According to police, the teen says he was visiting Davis at his home when Southerland contacted Davis, saying that he shot Pfirsching over a bag of marijuana.

All three teens confessed to staging the robbery, according to the complaint. Police say Southerland admitted to pulling the gun on Pfirsching and pistol whipping him. The complaint states he told police Pfirsching fought with him over the gun and that it went off, striking Pfirsching in the head.

According to the complaint, Davis told Southerland to get rid of the gun and not to "fold" when questioned about the shooting. Immediately after, police say Davis deleted all of his messages between him and Southerland about the killing and purchase of the gun.

The four teens are being charged as adults on first and second degree murder along with robbery- and conspiracy-related charges, according to court documents.

Davis also faces charges of possession of a firearm by a minor and criminal use of communication faculty.
