The new drive-in theatre is located at the Bedford County Fairgrounds. More than 60 companies collaborated during the coronavirus pandemic to create the drive-in movie screen. “The idea was very appealing to a lot of people in the area. I think it was something that was very hopeful and positive during a time that didn’t feel hopeful.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — A child found dead in a hot car in South Carolina Friday has been identified. Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford reported the victim was 3-year-old Armani Shoemaker. "Our hearts are broken by the life of Armani being cut short by this unexpected tragedy," Coroner Rutherford said. "Losing a child is one of the most unimaginable situations that can happen and our thoughts and prayers go out to this family.

WINDBER, Pa. (WJAC) — A Windber man is facing charges after punching a woman while she was holding a baby, driving away, crashing and then stealing beer from Sheetz, according to police. Authorities say 38-year-old Shawn Stephens is facing simple assault, terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of children and DUI charges. According to a criminal complaint, the incident happened Monday at a home along Locust Street when Stephens picked up the baby, threw the child to the woman and then punched her in the face.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Hundreds of volleyball players from across Pennsylvania -- and even out of state -- travelled into Johnstown for the weekend. It's for the Ridgetop Volleyball Club Flood City Volleyball Challenge at the 1st Summit Arena. The teens are playing for a paid bid to the National AAU Junior Championships in Orlando, Florida. This is Ridgetop's 10th year of supporting volleyball throughout the Cambria County region and beyond.

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Patton Township Police Department say they are investigating an alleged act of vandalism that occurred earlier this week at the Starbucks location on North Atherton Street. Police say officers were dispatched early Tuesday morning for a report of criminal mischief at the coffee chain. Authorities say officers discovered spray paint on the outside of the building, as well as damage to a window and a shattered glass front door.
